September's live reading will feature a pilot script and the first two episodes of a half-hour episodic comedy, Fraternal, written by George Wing and set in Seattle's own Ballard neighborhood.
In Fraternal, three friends in their early 20's join an old, decaying Fraternal Order with the intention of taking it over and making it their own. But the older members turn out to be more than a match for them.
George Wing is a Seattle screenwriter and producer who has written studio comedies like 50 First Dates, independent films such as Outsourced, and cable/network television, including the NBC show Outsourced (based on the movie of the same name and co-written with director John Jeffcoat). For years, he's been saying that Seattle needs more episodic TV production, and he's finally decided to do something about it.
